My daughter is a huge fan of colour. I prefer the refined look of an uncluttered table featuring simple and sophisticated dinnerware. We listen to each other’s opinions, but we spend a long time debating over our purchases. My taste rubs off a little on her and I respect her relaxed – or dare I say girly – style.

Quick tip So I give my go-ahead for multi-coloured glasses: after all, they are simple and practical. But as a compromise we buy a pretty mat rather than the sheepskin...

The must-haves for students

I want her to be fully kitted out. I consider both food containers and oven baking dishes to be kitchen essentials. My daughter on the other hand heads straight for the mojito glasses…

Quick tip I add my containers to the shopping basket: they're very useful for storing soup and transporting packed lunches.

From family to the clan

Young people live in clans these days. They’ll be out in a bar one evening and at a friend’s house the next. So we choose stackable, solid glasses and small plates that are easy to clean.

Quick tip Morgane loves cooking: in no time the microwave will heat up her dishes of rice, tomatoes and peppers, concocted specially for her friends.
